Kyle & Bain

Hong Kong

Situated in the restored historic building of Ice House Street. Kyle & Bain takes its name from two engineers – William Kyle and John Bain, who set up the city’s first ice plant in the 1870s on the exact location where the bar is now located. Various curves and styles of custom velvet banquettes, marble tables, and a two-toned ceiling add warm, unifying elements to the cozy American martini bar and restore the 1870s vibe. The tone, curves and lighting provide a sexy, subtle atmosphere throughout the space. The massive mirror on the ceiling mimics the pattern of shattered ice that is inspired by the history of Ice House Street. It adds a geometric yet symmetric sense to the bar.
